Hochiminh customs confirmed eur.1 is not eligible to get tariff

preference for import shipment from EU under EVFTA agreement

According to the official letter No. 3654/HQHCM-GSQL dated 14/12/2020, Hochiminh

customs confirmed that the company submit EUR.1 for import shipment from EU is

not eligible to get tariff preference of EVFTA agreement.

Base on the official letter No 5575/TCHQ-GSQL dated 21/08/2020 is issued by GDC

about the proof of origin, to implement  the official announcement No Ares(2020)

1982973 issued by EC that: Products originating in the European Union shall get tariff

preference of the EVFTA upon submission of Statement of Origin with REX systems.

EU also notified to Vietnam   that Article 15(1)(a) and Article 15(1)(b) will not apply,

that certificate of origin (Eur.1) and origin declarations will not get benefit from

preferential tariff treatment in Vietnam.
