ABOUT THE SIGNATURE ON STATEMENT OF ORIGIN

 IN THE EVFTA AGREEMENT

According to the official letter No. 7735/TCHQ- GSQL dated 08/12/2020, GDC give

the guideline to accept Statement of Origin without the signature of exporter as

below:

With goods from EU to Vietnam, GDC accept the Statement of Origin without the

signature of exporter who have the REX ID for the shipment with value more than

6000 EUR. In case, consignment with value less than 6000 EUR and the Exporter

who have not had yet REX ID, they need the hand signature of the exporter in the

Statement of Origin.

One more, about The text of Statement of Origin, in case, the Statement of Origin

declare EU origin and the name of a specific European country is additionally

declared, it does not affect the validity of Statement of Origin.

In case the Statement of origin only declares the origin according to the name of a

specific European country, then reject the Statement of Origin and send a report to

the General Department of Customs for notification European Competent Authority.
